Hi Alan,
We are moving slowly by design.
We have a house in Bangkok where I work and I have about 5 or 6 year till I retire.
We bought a rai of land in an absolutely beautiful location, near a main road but not too near near a river but a kilometer up hill from it to keep above any flood water. We cleared the land last year and raised by putting soil on top and then gave it a rainy and dry season to settle. You see, no rush!
Now we looking at starting the build and despite offers from all sorts of friendly builders we are going to get an architect to draw up detailed plans. Our architect is charging 3% of building price which I hope will come in at around 2 million.
Going up to play there this Songkran and will deal with the architect after the hols. Any ideas or advice would be welcome.
Alan, feel free to pop this on the website and I will add pics and further details as they come up.
Eddie
